FAQs

1. Will our cottage contain everything we need?

We feel that where at all possible everything you need to enjoy your stay in our cottage is included – detailed inventory can be sent on request.

2. Are pets allowed?

We have decided not to allow pets in our cottage.

3. Linen - what is provided?

All linen (except cot bedding - sheet is supplied) is included, ample towels in en-suite & bathroom + towel pack in each bedroom, 8 large beach towels for when the weather allows a beach trip (or if not a trip to 1 of the nearby swimming pools) – also cloths for washing and drying in the kitchen.

4. Baby friendly?

Travel cot - please bring own bedding, stair gate, high chair, pushchair and fireguard all provided.

5. Fuel and Power - are they included in the holiday price?

Everything is included right down to logs & kindlers/firelighters for the stove and charcoal for the BBQ outside.  Cottage has recently installed HIVE controlled gas central heating, underfloor heating in kitchen, bathroom and en-suite along with thermostatically controlled radiators in every room and a log burning stove in the lounge.

6. Price - how much will our holiday cottage cost?

Availability and prices are clearly detailed on the AVAILABILITY tab which clearly shows the cost of your stay, what you see is what you pay and there are no additional booking fees.

7. Bookings and payment?

When you book in advance we require a deposit of 25% of the rental cost, the balance of the rental is due 6 weeks before the start of your holiday.

When you book within six weeks of the start date of the holiday we require full payment at the time of booking.

Booking will only be confirmed once payment detailed above is received.

Payment can be made in advance by BACS, cheque or using STRIPE via our website.

8. Arrival and Departure - what time can we arrive and when do we have to leave?

Check in time is 16:00 on the first day of your holiday which is usually Saturday and check out is 10:00 on the day of departure, again a Saturday. This is to allow us sufficient time to prepare the cottage for incoming guests. When you book we will advise you on the time of arrival and key collection details.

9. Short Breaks - can I book a short/weekend break?

Contact us for availability of any of the above, if we have vacancies we will try to accomodate.

10. Problems - what do we do if something unexpected occurs?

We will do everything possible to ensure you have an enjoyable stay, but occasionally things go wrong. If a problem occurs you should contact us using any of the numbers on the CONTACTS page, we also have very comprehensive cover provided by British Gas that covers heating and controls, electricity, lighting and drainage, please report all issues including breakages however minor.

11. Changing your plans - what happens if you want to make changes to your holiday?

In the first instance please call us to discuss the changes. If it's possible to accommodate them, we'll be happy to help.

12. Cancellation - what happens if I need to cancel my holiday?

We would strongly advise anyone booking our cottage to take out holiday insurance to cover this eventuality, if we are able to attract holidaymakers for the cancelled period we will refund all money paid however if we cannot then the deposit or full amount paid at time of booking would be non-refundable.

13. Booking Conditions - what are they?

When you make a booking you enter into a legal contract with us so please ensure you read the TERMS tab..
