There are many lovely walks around the area, just following the clifftop paths east or west will give you some fantastic scenery and opportunities to spot some of the many bird species that abound and also the chance to see the very famous Moray Firth dolphins

A section of The Moray Coastal Cycle Route links Cullen to Portgordon and passes through Portknockie, great flat, car free tracks.

There are an abundance of courses to choose from, the closest at Cullen Golf Club is just a mile away, there is also a driving range at Strathlene less than 5 miles away

Within a 10 minute drive you will reach Buckpool Golf Club in Buckie and within a 20 minute drive you will reach Royal Tarlair Golf Club (Macduff), Duff House Royal (Banff), Spey Bay Golf Club, Garmouth and Kingston Golf Club and Keith Golf Club – we can loan a set of clubs if required - just ask.

Heritage and Places of Interest
The Buckie and District Fishing Heritage Museum is worth a visit and they are very welcoming and friendly.

Macduff Marine Aquarium and The Moray Firth Wildlife Centre in Spey Bay are great places to find out more about the local sea life.

For stately homes, Brodie Castle, a beautiful 16th century tower house, Duff House, a country gallery, and Elgin Cathedral are all within a 30 minute drive.

Shopping and Eating
Cullen and Buckie are respectively 2 and 5 miles away in opposite directions. They have shops, supermarkets, restaurants and banks. Elgin is the nearest city, approx half an hour drive, with all the usual amenities.

Heading east to Cullen the Rockpool is well worth a vist but be sure to call ahead and reserve a table, and heading west to Buckie, Bijou by the sea is also worth a stop.

Baxters Highland Village in Fochabers, is where you can stock up on local produce, see the original Baxter's shop and sample their delicious food hall.
Johnstons of Elgin is a must to purchase beautiful Arran, Fair Isle or Cashmere garments, again with a great restaurant.
Christies of Fochabers is one of the largest Garden Centres in Scotland and has a large restaurant and a wide array of giftware, homeware and clothing and a play area for children.
Brodie Country Fare offers a wide range of quality products and has a food hall and with a lovely restaurant.

For the Kids
There is a well maintained children's play park within walking distance at Mcboyle park and a swimming pool in Buckie.

There is a soft play centres at Harleys in Macduff which are all worth a visit.

In Elgin there is the Moray Leisure Centre which has a pool with water slides and an ice rink amongst other things as well as ten pin bowling and a soft play area at Pinz Bowling.
